Welcome to the Marlow & District Railway Society
Founded in 1977, we are a group of railway enthusiasts based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and with members from the surrounding districts, including High Wycombe, Bourne End, Henley, Maidenhead, Twyford, Reading and Wokingham. Our activities include regular monthly meetings at the Bourne End Community Centre and outings to places of railway interest (see the club gallery pages for some examples). We also publish our own illustrated magazine The Marlow Donkey. Meetings are open to non-members, but why not join us?
Our next public meeting will be on
Thursday 21st March 2024 at 7:30pm.
Revd Canon Brian Arman
"Broadgauge Journey - 3".
Brian will be using slides and therefore we cannot project these via zoom with any decent quality. WE REGRET, THEREFORE, THAT WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PUT THIS PRESENTATION OUT ON ZOOM.
- Brian will take us through a photographic journey of the Main Line Broadgauge from Taunton to deepest Devon and hopefully into Cornwall. All photographs are pre 20th May 1892, as that was when the broadgauge ended.
